LEGAL NOTICE -PUBLIC HEARING

LEROY TOWNSHIP ZONING COMMISSION

The Zoning Commission of Leroy Township, Lake County, Ohio gives notice that a Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 7pm at the Leroy Township Community Center, 13028 Leroy Center Road, Leroy, Ohio, 44077 for the following Zoning Text Amendments, as initiated by the Zoning Commission: Amendments #1, #2 and #3: Section 2, Definitions. Add definition of an attached accessory building, data centers and modify definition of the minimum area of a lot. Amendment #4: Section 9, Prohibited Uses: Add Data Centers. Amendment #5 and Amendment #6: Section 10.11 and Section 10.14, Township Zoning Commission and Amendments: Replace newspaper Notice with Notice on Township website and social media account. Amendment #7, Section 11.6, Board of Zoning Appeals: Add period of validity for granted variances. Amendments #8, #9 and #10: Section 16.05 (E) Accessory Buildings: Revise the minimum side yard and rear lot setbacks. Section 16.05 (F) Accessory Buildings: Add limitations to the maximum square footage of an attached accessory building. Section 16, Rural Residential Table 16.1, Development Standards: Revise the minimum side yard and rear lot setbacks for main structures. Copies of the proposed amendments are available for review at the Leroy Township Community Center or on the Township website at leroyohio.com. Prior to the hearing, this matter will be referred to the Lake County Planning Commission.
