The Leroy Township Comprehensive Plan is undergoing a review and update which is normally done every five to seven years. The last update was in 2018. One important part of the update process is to collect information from Leroy residents regarding their needs and wishes for the future of the township. A survey has been developed to more easily collect this feedback and is available below:

The survey deadline has been extended to December 4th. Hard copies of the survey will be available in the Leroy Township Fiscal Office located in the Community Center.
The Plan review and update process is expected to take many months to complete due to the amount of detail requiring review and the need to process input from the community. As of now, the team is still early in the process and has only reviewed the first few sections that are less complex. The more difficult and complex sections are still to come. Residents are invited to attend the meetings to provide constructive feedback, relative to the Comprehensive Plan, that helps advance the update and review process. Please see the calendar on the Leroy website for meeting times. All meetings are held in the townhall.
To get more information on the purpose of the Comprehensive Plan, it is suggested that residents start by reading the current Plan available on the Leroy website (https://leroyohio.com/departments/zoning-department/survey/). The purpose of the Comprehensive Plan is discussed in section 1.2. Note the Comprehensive Plan is not a law, rule, or regulation. It is a high-level framework that is meant to direct decisions for land use of the township and is used by the Zoning Commissions to determine what, if any, changes are needed to zoning and land use regulations based on the goals of the township community.
